The Story

The Layla is a chorus pedal based on the Walrus Julia.

I'm not a chorus person, at all. I've never vibed (get it?) with modulation pedals all that much, but that all changed when I was introduced to this circuit.

I'm a different person now; better, even. Why? I can't really explain it, you just have to hear it.

This pedal covers a lot of ground, from light chorus to full on vibrato, and you can even change the shape of the waveform with a cool little toggle switch. Works equally well on bass, so you can't really go wrong. This pedal design is for my daughter, who is a ray of sunshine.

How I use it: all knobs at noon is how I like. Straight chorus, just enough to be heard through the mix, and no crazy seasick warble (it'll do that if you want it to, but this is how I like it).

Features:
- 9V DC operation
- Top-mount jacks
- Controls: Rate (LFO speed), Depth (dry/wet blend), Lag (warble is the best way I can describe it), D-C-V (Dry-Chorus-Vibrato blend)
- Socketed LED brightness resistors (DIY at your own risk)
- Don't touch the internal trimmer. You've been warned.
- Circuit trace and PCB design by PedalPCB
